Marcia P. Wever
Owner and operator of St. Louis City Fitness, Marcia been in the fitness/wellness industry since 1980. She has been a personal trainer since 1983 and a group exercise instructor since 1980. Her fitness management experience spans several decades and includes the University of Illinois, The Body Firm (Champaign/Urbana, IL), Bodyworks Educational and Fitness Services, and Wellbridge Fitness Center and Spa. Marcia is highly skilled in facility and program management in addition to being an experienced trainer.
In addition, Marcia worked as a Master Certification Specialist for The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (http://www.afaa.com/) in Sherman Oaks, CA for 24 years. During that time, she designed and presented continuing education programs to fitness professionals nationwide. Her specialty was training and certification.

Emilee is a Pilates trainers at St. Louis City Fitness. She is a Balanced Body Pilates certified instructor with additional training in Pilates and Dance Specialization with Dr. Suzanne Martin, Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) with Jeff Bramhall, Immaculate Dissection: Core Concepts with Dr. Kathy Dooley, McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release (MSTR®) with Cyndi George, and OOV Foundation + OOV on Pilates Apparatus with Loribeth Cohen. Emilee is also a professional dancer and with Karlovsky & Company Dance where she’s had the opportunity to work in collaborative dance projects in the US and abroad. Justin Wever is a St. Louis native and a graduate of the Chaminade College Preparatory School. While earning his Associates Degree from the St Louis Community College, he worked as a lifeguard and pool manager at the Jewish Community Centers in Creve Coeur and Chesterfield. During his time at the JCC, Justin has also served a number of supervisory roles in maintaining the pool and rental facilities. In 2012, Justin became an employee of St Louis City Fitness, maintaining facility equipment and supporting marketing promotions, open houses, and corporate wellness fairs. Since that time, Justin has also immersed himself in personal training and group exercise, receiving personal training certification from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and TRX. Justin is experienced in training a very wide variety of personal training clients as well as teaching many varied group exercise class types.

Sarah fell in love with Pilates in 2012 living in Brazil. She was an Ironman and it helped her diversify her personal fitness goals. Pilates gave her a deeper connection to her core, strategies for moving efficiently, and more mobility. She quickly saw improvements the Pilates method made to her overall fitness level and health, making her a better athlete. Sarah is a certified Balanced Body instructor. A new mom, Pilates is helping regain her balance and core strength – attributes she brings to all her clients.

Nicole has a BFA in Dance Performance from Missouri State University and brings over 15 years of experience as a professional dancer and dance educator to her GYROTONIC® practice. She has enhanced her knowledge of anatomy and movement through her certifications in the GYROTONIC® EXPANSION SYSTEM levels 1 and 2 and OOV Fundamentals level 1.
Nicole has continued to expand her knowledge through continuing education courses and is passionate about continued development. She has taken courses in fascial body for GYROTONIC®, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, dancer training for GYROTONIC®, and GYROTONIC® for golfers. She is also certified on the Jumping Stretch Board and attended the Dance Teachers Kinesiology Conference in 2014.
Because of her passion for sharing the joy and understanding of movement with everyone she works with, and because of her experiences as a dancer, rehearsal director, artistic director, and university adjunct professor, Nicole has the ability to meet clients where they are in order to help them gain understanding of their unique physical capabilities and how to apply the GYROTONIC® principles to their everyday lives.

John has been in the fitness industry for almost six years. His experiences with clients range from working with seniors looking to improve their playspan, people rehabbing from injury, to working with people who just want to get fit. With his experience and passion for helping others, John is dedicated to his clients and to meeting their goals. John developed an appreciation for fitness because of the balance that it brings to life. He wants each client to receive the absolute best, individualized attention to their program. John’s goal as a trainer is to encourage, support, and challenge you to meet your fitness goals. John believes anyone can change if they have the right reason, the right motivation, and the right program.

Kelly is a STOTT Pilates apprentice and has a background in dance that led her to a professional career for over 10 years. Throughout her career she had the opportunity to travel around the world doing various shows for several companies including Disney and Royal Caribbean. Her passion for dance, including ballet and modern, has allowed her to teach dance and barre classes for over 15 years. She has always had an interest in Pilates and recently decided to expand her knowledge and train through Stott Pilates. She is excited to become certified and continue her Pilates education. She is pleased to have the opportunity to connect with clients and share her knowledge and passion around fitness with others.

Carol has worked fro Marcia Wever since 2008 as her assistant to St. Louis City Fitness. She has enjoyed taking pilates, Gyrotonic, classes we offer and is currently doing personal training. She also loves cooking, golf, and being a grandmother to Joey and Evie.
Matthew F. Wever, Ed.D.
Matthew F. Wever, Ed.D. specializes in facility design, operations and management as it applies to various community or private fitness or wellness facilities. Dr. Wever obtained his Doctorate of Education from Saint Louis University. He has worked for the past 30 years as a senior administrator at various Higher Education institutions and community recreation facilities. Matt was the lead St. Louis Jewish Community Center TL JCC staff person responsible for the multi-million dollar planning, construction and renovation of its facilities. In addition he has consulted with numerous Jewish community centers as they investigated the renovation and construction of their facilities and corresponding programs and services. Dr. Wever would be happy to assist you with any needs pertaining to: facility design, personnel services, facility maintenance, programming evaluation, equipment purchasing and facility best practices.
